Who We Are
Jacqui Bauers Rosenberger, LMT
Jacqui is a Pennsylvania licensed massage therapist who has been practicing massage and bodywork for over a decade. She received her training from The Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodywork in Pottstown, PA along with training in reflexology from The International Institute of Reflexology in Florida. Her integrative approach to massage therapy allows her to blend a variety of techniques to meet the needs of the individual. All of her sessions include aspects of stress reduction and relaxation since these are essential to whole body wellness. Over the years, Jacqui has built on her initial training with courses in advanced deep tissue therapy, oncology massage, Thai yoga techniques, and meridian tapping. She is also certified from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.
Toby's interest in Biodynamic Cranioasacral Therapy (BCST) began on her journey to support her son with healing his multiple allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances to food and the environment. Toby first learned about craniosacral therapy when she took her son to a D.O. who did osteopathic manipulative therapy. Each week she would watch her work with him until one day she decided to try it herself. That started her on a journey of learning this work. Toby says she is constantly humbled and intrigued by what she experiences on a daily basis related to health, nourishment, and being in this world. In addition to practicing BCST, Toby is a speech-language pathologist with her Master of the Arts in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from Indiana University. She has been exploring how her knowledge of BCST and SLP can be uniquely intertwined, especially when working with children with expressive, receptive, and/or social language disorders. Toby lives in the Germantown section of Philadelphia with her husband, their son, and their dog.
Lydia Mandell, LMT
Lydia is a Licensed Massage Therapist that has been practicing in the Philadelphia area for over 7 years. Her background in the healing arts began with Thai Massage- where she trained at Lotus Palm, the Thai Massage School in Montreal. She earned her massage therapy certification from the Philadelphia School of Massage and Bodywork in their 700 hour program. She has continued her studies to include cupping, prenatal, myo-fascial release, craniosacral therapy, along with deep tissue massage. She is a practicing member of the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association). There is always a very integrative, therapeutic approach to each of her client's treatments, and is able to customize to each client's needs on a personal level. The majority of her work is based on the concept that the body has the ability to heal itself, and she serves as a vessel for each person to find that healing space within. Lydia and her husband, Jake live in Elkins Park with their adopted blue nose pit bull, Nala.
Herban Spa Massage Therapy is the massage therapy practice of Jacqui Bauers Rosenberger. Originally, Jacqui began her massage practice at Little Herban Spa, an organic day spa she owned along with her sister. What does Herban mean? It's a play on the concept of herbal and natural medicine. In all of the massage services offered, only the finest, natural and organic products are used from the massage cream to essential oils to herb based, pain relieving muscle salves. In order to provide a wider range of offerings and more availability, two other practitioners, Lydia and Toby, offer their care, skills and expertise to folks at Walnut Lane.
Interested in organic skin care? Jacqui's sister, Kristen Alvarez, a licensed esthetician, is located in the same building at the Walnut Lane location. Check out her website: www.HerbanSkinTherapy.com. Your skin will thank you!
